Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 Our aims for 2025 were:
•To explore grant/funding application for
the refurbishment of St Christopher’s
Hall
•To try to increase activities available for
the community at the hall
•To ensure a small surplus of funds is
built up each year to cover capital
expenditure
It soon became clear that the foundation’s
efforts to raise the over £120K needed to fund
the refurbishment would take many years and
the need for refurbishment was becoming
critical.
The Foundation approached Roydon Parish and
it was agreed that that the Parish Councel
would fund the full cost of the refurbishment.
The objects of the Foundation will be amended
to reflect this change to:
“To provide or assist in the provision of
facilities for recreation or other leisure-time
occupation for the public at Dobbs Weir and
the surrounding areas, in the interests of social
welfare and with the object of improving the
conditions of life for the persons for whom the
facilities are primarily intended, by preserving
and maintaining the natural environment of
Dobbs Weir and its surroundings.”
