|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|Our aims for 2025 were:<br>•To explore grant/funding application for<br>the refurbishment of St Christopher’s<br>Hall<br>•To try to increase activities available for<br>the community at the hall<br>•To ensure a small surplus of funds is<br>built up each year to cover capital<br>expenditure<br>It soon became clear that the foundation’s<br>efforts to raise the over £120K needed to fund<br>the refurbishment would take many years and<br>the need for refurbishment was becoming<br>critical.<br>The Foundation approached Roydon Parish and<br>it was agreed that that the Parish Councel<br>would fund the full cost of the refurbishment.<br>The objects of the Foundation will be amended<br>to reflect this change to:<br>“To provide or assist in the provision of<br>facilities for recreation or other leisure-time<br>occupation for the public at Dobbs Weir and<br>the surrounding areas, in the interests of social<br>welfare and with the object of improving the<br>conditions of life for the persons for whom the<br>facilities are primarily intended, by preserving<br>and maintaining the natural environment of<br>Dobbs Weir and its surroundings.”|
