Para 1.20 Latin American Mentorship Program 2024
(LAMP):
-
In 2023,which was our first year
registered as a charity and first time
running our mentorship program,
LAMP was able to support 44
mentees (young Latin Americans in
the UK). This was thanks to the
support from 39 mentors and the
large tech organisation Google.
Grew our online presence by showcasing
our work and celebrating key successes of
young Latin Americas in the UK. This
included gaining 2,000 followers in
Instagram and 800 in Linkedin. This helped
us to reach more young Latin Americans that
could benefit from our programs and
support.

Achievements against
objectives set

Para 1.41

As 2023 was our first year as a registered
charity, our main objective was to launch
our very first mentorship program. One of
the main challenges we heard from
young Latin Americans in the UK at early
stages was ‘barriers to enter the UK
workforce’ hence we decided to run a
program that could help young Latin
Americans from a professional
development point of view.
The reception was great, with 44
mentees, 39 mentors and organisations
like Google being part of it.
