I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 29/02/2026.
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or

the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

The public will be aware of how to apply for the individual grant scheme through local funeral directors and the Laybo’s Legacy website. Each grant application will be independently checked and verified (1 trustee to process/ 1 trustee to verify) before notifying the applicant. The applicant will be notified by email as to whether they are successful. If successful, the funeral director will have indicated on the application that they will have the payment directly sent to them.

Section C Objectives and activities
Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
To provide financial aid to assist families after bereavement from death by suicide, by helping their financial hardship in respect of funeral cost requirements, for the Gainsborough public and surrounding villages.

Our vision is to help all bereaved families living within Gainsborough and the surrounding area who have lost a family member to suicide, receive the financial assistance they need. Making grants available to individuals who are suffering bereavements as a result of suicide.
The public will be made aware of how to apply for individual grant scheme through local funeral directors and the Laybo’s Legacy website.
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

Fund raising events are run by volunteers.
Each fund-raising event not only raises funds for our objectives, but they also raise awareness of suicide.

Section D Achievements and performance
We have raised funds this year by local authority grants. Summary of the main Local businesses. achievements of the charity Fund-raising events. during the year All businesses who kindly donate also promote our charity and awareness of suicide. All volunteers promote our charity during events and also in the wider public domain. As well as raising funds to financially help funeral costs to families that have lost a loved one to suicide. It is also really important that we raise awareness of suicide prevention.
