Coulsdon Community Partnership Accounts Approval Statement For The Year Ended 29 February 2024 Chalrfs report for AGM The flrst year of CCP as a charity has been an eventful year. We ran our first Yuletlde event before we received charitable status and learnt a lot from dolng so leading to a much lrnproved event th15 year, although the are stlll further learnlngs to be madel Our first event as a charlty was addlng to Cozy Glow's Easter event with a market. last year thls was qulte small as It was our flr5t event and thls year we are building on It to make the event blgger and better. We also hosted the Blg Lunch for the Klngs Coronatfon, thls was a great community plcnlc In Memorlal Park, Marfpit Lane- It was really well attended and a great communlty event wlth the Frlends of Marlplt Lane Bowllng Green runnlrrfj taster sesslons for people on the bowllng green and Poppy's café keeplng everyone In Ice creaml Our second event was becomlng involved In Cory Glow's communlty Hallowcen event, addlng In a stop at the HNe which was manned by Coulsdon Community Partnershlp volunteers. As wlth previous year5 thls was a great community event and thank you to all the shops who took part and made It the maglcal event It could be! Coulsdon Yuletlde Maglc carne around all too quickly and It is with huge thank5 to Ashley who coordlnated the stall holders, council, falrground and sponsors and to Wendy to walked the hlgh street gettlng buslnesses on board and persuadlng thern to sell raffle tlckets to make It a blgger success than last year, to Charlle who Ilalsed wlth the Coundl to get us free rattall Ilghts that we can use for other events throughout the year and for organlsing additlonal motlf lights this year. and of course thank you to Gary at Advanced Pnnt for all of the pnnting that he donated for the event that made a massive contnbutlon to the success of it. This Is our rnaln event each year and we are hoping that thls event wlll keep growlng. we do need nK>re volunteers to help spread the load In the preparntlon, on the day and partlcularly In packlng down the evenL We were successfvl, thanks agaln to Ashley In obtalning grant fundlng for communlty events to promote well being In and around Coulsdon. So far we have provided yoga mats to help get free yoga dasses off the ground In Tollers Community Centre and are explorlng art classes, plant to plate dasses, helping to fill the fundlng gap for tea parties for okler lonely people In Coulsdon, and adding In exerclse classes. In additlon we are hoping to complete the first phase of the Coulsdon Art Trail whlch Charlie King has done so much to get off the ground and to establish this as an Interactive walklng trall, slmllar to the Interartive walking trail that the Fnends of Farthlng Downs put together. We are also looking forward to partnertng with Cozy Glow agaln for the Coulsdon Easter Trall, and the Hlve wlll host the Easter Bunny and Streeter Matshall's sponsorship wlll contnbute additlonal Easter Eggs to enable free places to be glven to local schools for those children who would (herWiSe be prevented from belng able to take part due to the cost of livlng crisls. The Hlve has gone from strength to strength last year due to the contlnued efforts of Glll and Wendy• Ernlly, Nlkkl and all of the remalning Hive volunteers. Thank you also for helplng out at other Coulsdon Yuletlde events. partlcularly the wrnpplng ol the santa gmtto glfts and mannlng the stalls at Halloween and Easter. We are open to other Ideas for ways that wo can help the communlty and are l¢)oklng for volunteers that are Wilfu to take on projerts Ydlth a trustee In partnership wlth them to enable us to spread ourselves more wldely. As trustees we a all volunteets wilh other commitrnents and other buslnesse5. We are not pald for any work that Yie do the charlty and there are only so many hours In the day. We are all passlonate about maklng Coulsdon a success, but we do need to work more dosely with other volunteering groups so that we a all working in the same directiGn for the good of Coulsdon as a whole. I would like to thank my fellow trustees and all of the volunteers that have helped us get to where we are in just ofie year as reglstered charity, and look forward to an even more successfvl year next year.
