Annual Report From: 18th January 2023 To: 31st July 2023 Charity's full name Tang Hall Employment Registered Charity number 1201632 Objectives and activities Summary of the purposes ofthe charity set out in its governing document The purposes of the ch8rity are the relief of unemployment for the benefit of the public in such ways as may be thought fil, including assistance and support lo find employment, particularly among people who are disadvantaged due lo long term experience of homelessness and or addiction, people with a leaming disability, and those otherwise facing significant barriers to finding employment. Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit. in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts The main activities of the ¢harity have been setting up the charity, fundraising, producing arhmork and launching the charily.T8ng Hall Employment, has made a highly positive start in the year. Trustee meetings have been well attended with open and honest discussion leading lo high quality debate and unity of purpose, decision making and outcomes. The launch event al the Tang Hall Smart Summer Festival in June was well received and it was both revealing and beneficial to meet parents of our prospective first cohort who spoke glowingly about the project and with real hope about the potential opportunities ahead. Over the past 6 months, the group has worked effectively lo design a radical yel realistic programme to give some of our most vulnerable young people a genuine roule into employment with a solid support structure which will greatly enhance their seif-esteem and wider confidence and ultimately could potentially transform their lives. As Trustees we are proud to be part of a team who are relentlessly determined to achieve this long term goal. Independent Examiner's Report on the Accounts I report on the accounts of the CIO: Tang Hall Employment for the period ended 31st July 2023 which are set out on pages S to 7. Respertive responsibilities of trustees and examiner The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the CIO accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 Ithe '2011 Act") and that an indeDendent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to.. examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act to follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission {under section 14515llbl of the 2011 Act), and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner's report My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those record5. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair, view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
