These not only raise funds but also bring parents, teachers, pupils and the community together. These have included a quiz, discos, a movie night, fun njns and seasonal fairs. Pre-Loved School Uniform, this raises funds and provides all parentslcarers the opportunity to dress children in school uniform for reasonable prices. Wearing the uniform is part ofthe way the sGhool encourages a communily ethos within the pupils. The period 2022-2024 has seen the successful introduction of Chobham Friends as a registered charity and PTA for Harris Academy Chobham. It has been a period of getting to know the school community, each other and building our profile We are lucky to have an amazing group oftrustees who are committed to the running of Chobham Friends and lots ofthanks go lo them for their d8dicat8d support so far. Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity's work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. Pgra 1.20 Chobham Friends have run events to promote effective relationships between the parentslcarers and the school and supporting the HarrisAcademy Chobham community of pupils, staff, and parentsl carers. The PTA has run different types of fundraising initiatives over this period, including a quiz night for parents and staff, Christmas Discos for Years 1-6, Christmas, Easter, Summer and Black History Month Fairs, and an Easter film. For two years running we have taken part in a sponsored run with Run Kids Run to raise money and receive a donation from the charity. This is in addition to several of our parents running sponsored runs for Chobham Friendsl We have also embraced online payment methods and plafforms during this period such as Sumup, ParentPay and PayPal. Our net income from fundraising events and other income sources was £16,508.36. During this first reporting period Chobham Friends has succeeded in advancing the educalion of pupils in the schoo5 by providing additional sporting equipment and kit, new musiGal instruments and musi tuition, new robotics equipment suitable for all year groups and funding new clubs and activities. Children have access to leaming opportunities which they wouldn't have had before. Achievements against objectives set Para 1.41 By organising a range of fun and inclusive activities and events for pupils, their parents, carers and guardians as well as the teaching staff we have helped to foster a positive, fri6ndly and welcoming environment at the school. The PTA successfully acts as a conduit between the school and parents and has resulled in belter sharing of information and feedback. Generally, the fundraising activities have been very SUC￿ssful with good turn out and support from the school and teaching and non-teaohing staff. Some events, such as the sponsored runs and the discos have been very successful in ternis of generating funds. Other events, such as the Easter Film have been less successful and so the harity has evaluated and leamt from these experiences so that we can run more successful fundraising activilies in the future. Our principal sources offunding are various fundraising events held throughout the year. The biggest fundraising events were the sponsored runs, the Christmas Discos and the Autumn Quiz. Our programme of fundraising activities and donations (minus payments and expenses) brought in a net income of £16,508.36. The charity's principal SoUr￿S of funds (including any fundraising) Para 1.47 For the past two years we have received generous donations of £5,000 from the Run Kids Run charity and £1,700 from an employee volunteering scheme from the Bank of England. We have also been SUC￿SSfUl in obtaining £5,000 in funding from a local community fund and £1,000 from Tesco. The money raised in the accounling period 2022-2024 which is still held by Chobham Friends will be rolled over to spend on supporting Ihe improvement of coding and robotics provision in the school through the purchasè of new equipment. In addition. it will be spent on initiatives within the school to address wellbeing with a particular focus on playground and gardening provision. The remaining incom8, plus any other income raised or donated, will be given as donations in the fvture to projects decided at the AGM.
