TheFriendsofSt.Laurence,LurgashallwasformedasaCharitableIncorporatedOrganisation (“CIO”)andregisteredwiththeCharityCommissionon21September2022.Itsconstitutionfollows thestandardformpublishedbytheCommissionforaCIOwhoseonlyvotingmembersareitscharity trustees.Thereisarequirementfortheretobeatleastthreetrusteesandthemaximumnumberissix.

ThefirsttrusteeswereTheEarlofCorkandOrrery,MichaelPaviaandJohnClark.Verysadly, MichaelPaviadiedon5December2022.Atameetingon21February2023,theremainingtrustees appointedNeilHardingandRoryStJohnstontobetrusteesandNeilHardingwasappointedas HonoraryTreasurer.

Sinceincorporationtherefore,thefollowingtrusteeshaveserved:

TheEarlofCorkandOrrery

MichaelPavia(died5December2022)

JohnClark

NeilHarding(appointed21February2023)

Oncetheseadministrativearrangementshadbeencompletedthetrusteesturnedtheirattentionto fundraising.TheyreceivedhelpfuladvicefromthefundraisingteamforChichesterCathedral RestorationandDevelopmentTrustandproducedabrochureforuseinapproachestopotential donors.
