Financial Review Review of the charity's fin8ncial position at the end of the period Pav8 1.21 The Trustees are satisfied that the Charity is financially viable and sustainable in the short to medium term with its existing cash reserves and continued voluntsry donations. During the pefiod. the Church re￿1Ve￿ total incoming resources of £103779. The largest proportion of these resources is received in the form of voluntary income from the members of the Congregations. The church does rK)I make regular appeals for this fomi of income bul relies on the generous spirit of the mombors towards tt)e operation of the church. During the period, thésè donations (including related tax reclaimed under the Grft Aid sch8mel amounted lo £87608. The Church's total expenditure for the year was £g9529 The largest proportion of the expenditure relates to ministry costs, in particular staff cos15 along5id8 pastoral and evangelistic aclivilies. In the absence of a man to fill the role of full time pastor at South Crdven funds have been used lo pay for visiting speakers to cover Sunday services. The remaind8r of èxpendilur8 r8lales to the operation and mainlerTrance of the Churth's building at Crosshills and costs associated with Emmanuel Church Keighley including the hire of an office and meeting space. As the number of young children has grown at South Craven the need for more space has become apparent. After a period of refleCt￿n and exploration of options it was decided to build a garden room which will provide additional SPA￿ for Child￿n,$ WOTk during the as well as use for other church functions. Ttle trustees have been cognisanl that over recent years regular incorne lexduding eX￿ptiOnal inwmel has not met cu￿ent levels of expenditure due, in the main, to supporting the work of our church plant. Over this year Emmanuel has made links with other Gospel churches in our area and beyond, asking them for pray8T and financial support wllh the alm of Ind&pend&ncg by 1$t September 2025. We have been encouraged that like-minded churches have willingly partnered with us and supported this work and we have received one-off gifts and promises of ongoing support. Total exceptional gifts towards Emmanuel, this year. have totalled £16171. This, in addition lo regulaf 9ivin9 from Emmanuel attendees has meant thal Emmanuel only has a small deficit of £-2544 at the end of this year. A proposal by the Trustee5 was agreed that this would be covered by South Craven funds and a Memorandum of Understanding was accepled for additional financial support over the next three years as Emmanuel becnmes an indépond8nt church.
