Thirty children and young people participated in open basketball sessions as part of thè summer festival. Everyone had the opportunity to join in skills sessions led by professional coaches and then to play for a team in è fun and friendly tournament. Thi5 was a wonderful opportunity for the girls to try out tompetitive basketball la sport in which girls are currently undef-representedl. Many of the children who participated in the free summer sessions have continued with basketball over the last year. with benefrts to their physical and mental health.
