Trustee’s Report
For the Year Ending 31[st] July 2025
Introduction
The Board of Trustees of Diamond Sports Society Limited is pleased to present the Trustees Annual Report with accounts for the fiscal year ended 31 July 2025. As a dedicated charity, we contract out the management of The108, an indoor sports facility committed to advancing physical activity and community engagement, with a particular focus on baseball and softball. In addition, we have now added a new sport to our offering, Padel Ball. Although we are yet to repay our initial funding liability, we are now on course to become debt free which will give us ample funds to further promote our sports vision.
Achievements and Performance
Diamond Sports Society continues to draw in thousands of visitors every year, offering a secure and enjoyable environment for sports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. But we have room for more. Our facility and programs have been recognized for their distinctiveness and the excitement that baseball and softball bring. Our batting cages have received many compliments for their spaciousness and high-tech features. Our Padel Ball courts have won praise for their unique design utilizing a 10mm shock pad under the playing surface. Padel is a sport for all ages and many in our community appreciate a surface with some give. It prevents common knee and ankle injury. All these sports are instrumental in fostering teamwork, discipline, and a strong community spirit. Our facility is steadily gaining recognition in the community as a unique multi-sport offering with polite and helpful staff.

Financial Review
· Income: Our primary revenue streams are derived from facility rentals and are supplemented by sales from our in-house F&B offerings and a new retail equipment shop. These streams are seasonable, as our indoor facilities see more winter traffic than the good weather of the summer months. The addition of Padel Courts has significantly boosted revenues.
· Expenditure: The majority of our expenses pertain to utilities, rent, and staff salaries.
· Net Surplus: As of end of 2025, we are now operating at a net surplus. However, the surplus is greatly reduced due to the on-going payment of property lease arrears. These arrears should be cleared by the end of calendar year 2026. After which we will start repaying our initial funding liabilities.
Future Plans
We are actively pursuing several avenues to increase revenues in order to repay our initial funding liabilities:
· Donations: Setting up a separate donation program called “Small Ball” This program is focused on youth baseball programs in the area and aims to provide supervised use of our facility to underprivileged youth.
· Corporate Events: Collaborating with businesses to utilize our unique space for large corporate gatherings.
· Community Events: Organizing events to raise awareness about our facility within the community.
· Alternate Sports Events: With the addition of Padel Ball, we have begun promoting community events to introduce people to the sport accompanied by experienced coaches.
· Engagement with Food Delivery Apps: Partnering with platforms like Uber Eats and Deliveroo to maximize the utilization of our kitchen facilities.

Actionable Steps
· Engage with Local Businesses: Begin discussions to explore potential sponsorships.
· Plan Community and Corporate Events: Market our facility and reach out to schools and local communities.
· Alternate Sports Promotion: Develop targeted marketing materials to attract new users. Frequent use of social media.
Governance and Administrative
Details Our board of trustees has changed. It now consists of three new dedicated volunteers. One of which is the eldest son of our founding trustee Daniel Gipple. The board convenes frequently to ensure the facility adheres to our mission and financial objectives. We express our gratitude for the commitment and the unwavering support from our community.
Conclusion
We remain steadfast in our mission to promote health and community spirit through sports. With sustained effort, ongoing community support and our decision to add Padel ball courts to the sports offering, we have achieved financial stability. Thank you for your continued support and belief in our vision.
