Building Bridges Food Hub is a registered
charity which aims to provide support to
local residents who have fallen on hard
tmes so that they may receive subsidised
shopping, providing them with dignity and
choice. The clients make a small but
notable contributon to the shopping and
the remainder is paid for by the charity.
Clients who are eligible to join pay a
membership fee. They can then choose up
to 20 items from a weekly updated list
online and can choose to pay online or
with cash. Families can order up to two
baskets weekly. Clients then book a
collecton slot and pick up their shopping
each Saturday.

Para 1.20 The charity has continued to grow
significantly over the past year. We now
have over 160 active members, an
increase from 30 the previous year.
Demand for our service has risen steadily
and now plateaued. Our members use our
service in different ways, some every
week, some fortnightly and some monthly
or even once every few months.

- August 2024: 31 baskets per week
- August 2025: 32 baskets per week
We have continued to build our social
media presence with regular posts on
Facebook and Instagram, helping us reach
new members and supporters.
We successfully secured three grants
during the year, amounting to £21900,
ensuring financial stability despite rising
operational costs. Member donations
themselves of £3 per basket contribute a
significant £5000 per year. Gift Aid
continues to support administrative
expenses. All physical work is carried out
by volunteers; we have no paid staff.

Financial Review

financial position at the end

Para 1.21 Income exceeded expenditure this year
due to successful grant applications and
consistent donor support. Basket
distribution has continued to rise, reaching
an average of 32 baskets per week by
August 2025. Each basket costs the charity
£15, with members contributing £3, leaving
the charity to cover £12 per basket.
From December 2024, the charity began
paying £800 per month in rent and rates for
the Market Streetpremises.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended DD / MM / YYYY .

As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
