Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document

The Rainbow Legacy CIO provides basic education to the community, English classes, support for mothers and babies, clothing and hygiene products.

Children are also supported with education costs.

Girls are given classes on self care and hygiene and are provided with reusable sanity towels and toiletries.

Mothers are provided with clothes and reusable nappies for their babies.

The charity has purchased land and built a community centre to provide a safe space to learn, confide, play and develop the local community. A borehole has also been built on the land to provide clean water for the community.

Food donations have been made to families in the community, as well as provision of meals for children in the local school.

During the year to 31 December 2024 further work was undertaken on Summary of the main the community centre owned by the charity. A store room was built to achievements of the charity store supplies to be used in or for the benefit of the community. during the year The charity has been able to fund the education for a number of children for the year.

All current funds donated to the charity are held on an unrestricted reserve to be used for the general charitable purposes.

As at 31 December 2024 there was no deficit in the unrestricted fund.

The principal source of funds for the charity comes from donations from individuals and companies.

These funds have been used to be build the community centre in The Gambia to provide a safe space for the key objectives of the charity, including education and a safe space for the community. Funds have been used to build a borehole to provide clean water for the community.

Funds have also been used to ship donated items such as reusable nappies, clothes, stationary and toys to The Gambia to be distributed in the community.
