Under that law the trustees must not approve the accounts unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the trust and of the incoming resources and appllcation of resources of the trust for that year. In preparing these accounts. the trustees are required to.. select suitable accounting policles and then apply them conslstently., observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP., make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent state whether applicable accounting standards have been followed. subject to any material departures disc105ed and explained in the accounts.. and prepare the accounts on the going concern basis unless it is inapproprlate to presume that the charity will continue in operation.
