Notts Trans Hub Charity registration number: 1199241 Achievements and Performance 2023 has been the first full year Notts Trans Hub has operated since registering as a charity. In this year, Notts Trans Hub has attempted to find tts feet and ensure that all the regular events on offer run smoothly. There have also been some newer events created. such as the annual Winter Ball. In terms of the support groups. the charity has continued to see the monthly Monday evening group as the flagship event for the charwty. Last year, we re-started our in-person events and numbers attending the Monday event has not only recovered to pre-pandemic levels but surpassed them on few occasions. For this reason. the Tmstee5hip took the decision to find an altemative venue, one which is not onty adequate for our current level of attendance. but one that has room to grow. We therefore now hold the Monday support group in a new venue with add¥tional space. and members have widely welcomed the change. Our partnership with the organisation that provides the Saturday group meeting space continues to be strong and this monthly group meets in their rooms. Thi5 year there was a change to the Saturday 8roup, on suggestion of the members, and the event is now half a support group and half a social event. In temis of social events our association wtth a kKal venue continues to be strong. Our monthly social at this venue is well attended. We continue to also offer the Minecrdft Server and have recently re- introduced the online social for those who are unable to attend in person or do not wish to meet in a pub env5ronment. In temis of special events. we were very proud to put on ourfirst ever winter ball which was very well attended. In addition, MfH were very proud to be asked to lead the Nottingham Pride march this year and going forward. NTH also joined with the LGBT+ Student Society of the University of Nottingham to mark Transgender Day of Rernernbran￿. At the end ofthe yearour private s(Kial media membership grew to over 750 members lapproximately IIX) new members in the year) and we also launched a rapid￿ growing Discord group with over I members. Financial Review The financial results are set out in the following statement of financial activities. The year ended 31 December 2023 show5 a net surplus of £848 enabling the charity to carry forward unrestricted funds of £16.653 to be used in furtherance of its charitable objectNes. The delivery of a surplus in the year has taken place despite a full actNe year of events and support of the local community. As a result. the Trustees are pleased with how the tharity ha5 been performing financially. The charity has healthy reserves. more than sufficient in order to meet our reserve FK)licy of holding sufficient funds in order to enable the charity to operate over the next twetve months. However. it IS

Notts Trans Hub Charity registration number: 1199241 fair for us to remain conservative with the funds held. due to tM)tential risks to future funding stemming from tight local govemrnent finances. Although we have received grants from private indmduals. we are largeFy reliant on grants from other third-party charities which are decided upon on an annual basis and are not guaranteed. Maintaining a healthy reserve level will enable the charity to continue providing support whilst seeking alternative grants. As of the year end, we have sufficient reserves to cover such an eventuality. The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed. and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks.
