| In the first year of operation, and after the end of the Coronavirus restrictions the Charity has gone from strength to strength. We have been able to hold regular church services in St. John of Rila Chapel in the Bulgarian Embassy in Central London. The congregation has been growing steadily and consistently. The Charity has obtained permission from the Bulgarian government, the Bulgarian Patriarchate as well as from the British authorities to renovate and extend the Chapel of St. John of Rila for the benefit of the growing congratulation. Since we were able to open a bank account in 2022, we have run a successful online and in person fundraising campaign and have managed to secure funds to start the renovation process as well as to maintain the services. |

Independent Examiner's Report
I have thoroughly examined the financial statements, annual accounts, receipts and payments of The Bulgarian Orthodox Community of St. John of Rila in London ( Charity Registration Number 1199201) for the accounting period 01/06/2022-31/05/2023.
For the above accounting period the Charity has collected £25530 in income, fully from donations, and has spent £22272 on expenses in connection with its charitable works, mainly for the renovation of the church facilities so that they can better serve the congregation as well as the wider community. None of the trustees has received any remuneration or fees.
I am satisfied with the annual accounts of the Charity and have found them to be a true reflection of the Charity's financial status.
