Structure. Governance and Managemerrt The Society of Catholic Medical Mlsslonarles SCMM, (also known as Medical Mission Sisters) was founded in 1925 by Dr. Anna Dengel in Washington DC. United Ststes of America. It Is an international, apostolic. religious order in the Roman Catholic Church. The Trustees: CIO has three131 Trustees. They are: The society Coordinator automatically Is ex-offlclo, the chair, as long as she holds the office. She 15 elected by the General Chapter of the order for a term of slx years according to the constitutfon of the Society. She serves by Inspiri￿ coordinating, and leadlng the Soclety as it carrie5 Out its mission in five contlnents. The other two Trustees are appointed by resolution in wrltlng bythe Soclety Coordlnator. Poli¢ies The CIO follows pollcles regarding staff, Tnjstees, financial controls, safeguarding, risk management etc. Special attention has been given to cyber security risks and the prevention of online fraud. The Investment Committee makes sure that the Investrnents are made according to ethical guidelines developed by the Charity. The yearly risk assessment enabled the Charity to identify potential risks

and to charter steps to rnitlgate them. The Charivs internal financial contro15 are reviewed once a year to ensure compliance with the legal requlrements relewant to the Charity.
