In setting our objectives and planning our activities our Trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission’s public benefit guidance. Public benefit is at the heart of everything we do. Our at Somer Valley Tennis is to provide anyone from any background and any ability with the affordable means to play tennis, at whatever level suits them and most importantly provide a safe and fun environment to play a great sport. Somer Valley Tennis Club is open to all and its aim is to make tennis accessible to all members of our community. We are committed to running our club in a fair and equitable way.

The charity is not in a position to hold reserves – due to the nature of Brief statement of the memberships, we will continue to promote membership in order to ensure charity’s policy on reserves the viability of the tennis club. We don’t have paid members of staff and so have no reserves to cover this. Our charitable funding is in order to extend our tennis offer to our local community and ensure that tennis is accessible to all.
