Structure, Governance and Management Under the requirements of Ihe Memorandum and Articles of Association the meimbers of the Board of Trustee5 are elected 10 Serve for a period of three years after wliich tliey mijst be re-elected at tlie next Annual General Meeiing. The Board meets once every quarter and additional subgroups such as a finance team conslsting of the Chair, Treasurer and CEO take place throughoui the year. All members olthe Board of Trustees received iio benefits from the charit5, As the objectives of tlie charity are to improve the self estcom of young people, the Board of Trustees seek5 lo ensure that rhe needs of this group are appropriately reflected rlirough Ihe diversity of the trustee body. Tlie Board identified some skills gaps within the group and has since reci'uited a sultable TrLJStee, Vicioria, who coines with a wealth of marketing expeiience. In the coniiiig year we hope to recruit an HR specialist 100 and continue to provide support and traiiiing for our Board.
Chair's Report I've thoroughly enjoyed my role of Cliair of Know Your Worth and am proud of the progress made over tlie year aiid the reacli of girls that we have been able to support. Our purpose ren13ins to support teenage girls ro grow self-esteem through our 8 week self-esteem course. It has been a year to solidif! procedures and to continue to develop and further tweak our policies so that vJe have robust Systems in place. We've enjoyed Ihe growth that has iaken place tliis year for Know Your Worth. During this financial year we have been èble to deliver 10 Know Your Worth courses across Oxfordshire and Berkshire. We also had the opportunity to run a P5HE Healthy Relationships Session iii a local secondary across the school week, which allowed us the opportunity to work with the entire year 9 cohort. One of the most exciting eleinenrs ol the year for Know Your Worth was the appointment of a new member of staff, Emilie. She has taken oli the role of a Course Facilirator, whicli has enables courses to take plaoe arid provide time for our CEO to begin 10 take on more of the str3Eegy plaiining and iiiiplementation side of things. Hearing feedback from the teenage girls aitending the course has been wholly positive. Coinmenr5 like 'The Know Your Worth course helps me. The siaff are good people to trust,. '1 felt accepted as soon as I walked rhrough the door on the first week, and '1 feel safe and at ease, really encourages us and reminds us of the good work thai we are doing in supporting teenage girls. We've really enjoyed parrneriiig with local charities and organisaiions in order to deliver our course ii) places like Abingdon witli Mental Healtli Natters, local churches and various local secondary schools iii Oxfordshire. Aims and Objectives The aim of Know Y rwor uild self- teem in hrough ali inw we seek do this 1 ndc sch Is, chur mm The course covers emotions. relationships and consent, social media, resilience and hopes, and is designed ro help teenagers place greater value on themselves, and expect others to do the same. At each poini, we link back again to self-esteem and the significance rhat our self-esteem has on our lives. 4eem To date, we've now worked with 129 girls, building self-esteem in Oxfordshire and Berkshire. Moving forward, we plan ro continue supporting girls here locally as well the North West of England as a member of our team moves there and can deliver in person session5 Our long term hope is to continue to have paid Know Youi Worth staff delivering our courses across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and rhe N.West of England but to also train up others who work with youih in schools and in the community, so that rhey can run courses with their young people anywhere in the UK.
