Chair's Report
I've thoroughly enjoyed my role of Cliair of Know Your Worth and am proud of the
progress made over tlie year aiid the reacli of girls that we have been able to
support. Our purpose ren13ins to support teenage girls ro grow self-esteem through
our 8 week self-esteem course.
It has been a year to solidif! procedures and to continue to develop and further
tweak our policies so that vJe have robust Systems in place.
We've enjoyed Ihe growth that has iaken place tliis year for Know Your Worth.
During this financial year we have been èble to deliver 10 Know Your Worth courses
across Oxfordshire and Berkshire. We also had the opportunity to run a P5HE Healthy
Relationships Session iii a local secondary across the school week, which allowed us
the opportunity to work with the entire year 9 cohort.
One of the most exciting eleinenrs ol the year for Know Your Worth was the
appointment of a new member of staff, Emilie. She has taken oli the role of a Course
Facilirator, whicli has enables courses to take plaoe arid provide time for our CEO to
begin 10 take on more of the str3Eegy plaiining and iiiiplementation side of things.
Hearing feedback from the teenage girls aitending the course has been wholly
positive. Coinmenr5 like 'The Know Your Worth course helps me. The siaff are good
people to trust,. '1 felt accepted as soon as I walked rhrough the door on the first
week, and '1 feel safe and at ease, really encourages us and reminds us of the good
work thai we are doing in supporting teenage girls.
We've really enjoyed parrneriiig with local charities and organisaiions in order to
deliver our course ii) places like Abingdon witli Mental Healtli Natters, local
churches and various local secondary schools iii Oxfordshire. We've also been
privileged to provide our couises on behalf of Adopt Thames Valley, which has been
a real highlighi for our team.
￿￿J￿ W.iy4P 4,,,.

Responsibilities of the 8oard of TIu5tees requires Ihe 8oard to continue 10 prepare
firkancial staiemerits for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the
state of the affairs of the chaTltable company as at the balance sheet dale and of its
incoming resources and applicaiion of resources. including income and expenditure,
for the financial year.
In PfepaTing those financial statements. the Board should follow best practice and:
select suitable accounting policie5 and then apply them consistently;
make judgements and estimates thar are reasonable and prudent,. and
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is not
appropriate to assume thai the company will continue on that ba515.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for maintaining proper accounting records
which disclose with reasonable accuracy ar any tlme the financial position of the
charitable company and to enable them to ensure thar the financial sratemenis
comply with the Companies Act 1985.
These accounts weie inspected by John Price, our Independent ExamineT.
