(A) THE RELIEF OF NEED IN PARTICULAR OF ARTISTS OR CRAFTSMEN WHO ARE IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE PROVISION OF AFFORDABLE STUDIOS, WORKSPACES, EVENT VENUES AND ARTIST RESIDENCIES TO ENABLE THEM TO EARN THEIR LIVING; (B) THE PROMOTION OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE ARTS; AND (C) THE PROMOTION OF THE APPRECIATION OF ART.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO (the “objects”) Are For The Public Benefit:(a) The Relief Of Need In Particular Of Artists Or Craftsmen Who Are In Need Of Financial Assistance Including But Not Limited To The Provision Of Affordable Studios, Workspaces, Event Venues And Artist Residencies To Enable Them To Earn Their Living;(b) The Promotion Of Education And Training In The Arts; And(c) The Promotion Of The Appreciation Of Art.(2) Nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (scotland) Act 2005.
