Basis of independent examiner’s
statement
Westbury & Warminster Youth Club
31 August 2024
The Treasurer as appointed by Westbury & Warminster
Youth Club is responsible for the preparation of the
accounts. The Club consider that full in depth audit is not
required for this period and that a thorough independent
examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
 examine the accounts.
 confirm that the figures present a true and fair view of
the position.
 to state whether particular matters have come to my
attention.
My examination was carried out in accordance with
General Directions given by the Westbury & Warminster
Youth Club and Accountancy bodies. An examination
includes a review of the accounting records kept by the
Club and a comparison of the accounts presented with
those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking
explanations from the Treasurer concerning any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the
evidence that would be required in an audit, and
consequently no opinion is given as to whether the
accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is
limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

have not been met; or

- Trustees annual 2023 2024 report for

Westbury and Warminster youth club

Registered charity number: 1198806

This report is being presented by the current trustees of Westbury and Warminster youth club C/O Westbury community project Eden vale road, Westbury, BA133NU. Those who hold a trustee position for the charity are Fredrick Beckett, Katie D’all, Alex Driver, Stacey Allensby and Jack Jones.

The charity was set up by Bethany Mullins who still oversees the running of the club day to day which includes recruiting trustees. Where possible trustees are recruited through a connection to the club however this isn’t always possible and trustees with an interest in young people are recruited.

The charity was set up to run two youth clubs for those aged 11-19 and up to 25 with SEN one in Westbury and one in Warminster. Over the last 12 months that aim has been maintained and delivered as well as expanding our services still working with young people within the same age range but now, we are able to off an advocacy service, 1-2-1 support for those young people who need it the most and detached youth work in Warminster. There has been no change to our service area.

We are still the only youth club in both Westbury and Warminster giving the young people somewhere safe to go, offering support and an informal education that they otherwise cannot access. With the support and services, we are offering we are supporting the young people and helping reduce anti-social behaviour. All our services safeguard some of the most vulnerable young people and their families to assist them with challenges and help make the right decision.

Due to the cost of living rising and grants not rising at the same rate we have taken a slight dip by around £2000.00 in our unallocated funds but are pleased to report that we still have just over £4000.00 which is free unallocated funds and that all funding has been secured to keep the charity providing our services for the next 12 months.
