Meeting at least twice a month; once as a formal committee meeting and once at an organised Narberth Jazz event. How trustees are recruited Current CIO trustees were appointed from the previous Narberth Jazz Club committee, which was previously founded as an unincorporated club. Future potential trustee recruitment to include a simple application and interview process having the intention to recruit trustees in line with identified skills gaps. Ob"ectives and activities in the ear Narberth Jazz's objectives are- o promote, improve, develop and maintoin public education in, and an appreciation of, the art and science ofiazz music in West Wales by encouraging social interartion and understanding across oll age groups and abilities, through the provision of accessible and inclusive live and recorded jazz music performance and education. In this year the following were supported. Monthly Events held at Pembrokeshire venues. April 20th _simon Spillett with John Gibbon Trio May 18th -The Coltrane Dedication Quintet June 22nd _Dick Hamefs JAZZ PASSENGERS July 20th _Tomos William's 7 Steps Tribute to Miles August 5th -Narberth Jazz Garden Paty at Lampeter House with The Constellation Big Band and Jazzology September 21st -John Gibbon 50 years of drumming with singer Lee Nathaniel October 19 - Around about dusk November 16th _ Ketth Lrttle Swing Four Drnber P -Narberth Jazz Party wtth the Swingin Nettles Narberth Youth Band is planned to offer young people the opportunity to develop their instrumental skills. play with others and to develop their personal confidence. So far we are still lookingfor a Leaderto take on the task but have identified volunteers who have offered help. We are however working with Jazz Explorers Cymru to progress this project. Care Homes hold many people who benefit from entertainment and music but have huge restrictions on getting out to events. So we plan to either live stream events or record them to screen in Care Homes at time more convenient to them. We are still working on this but we need grant support to buy the necessary equipment. The Charity's website www.narberth"azz.wales was developed in the Autumn 2021 with support by the HLF-Datris project from PLANED and by a Trustee. This comprehensive and constantly updated site allows both the publicising of our events and news, plus an event ticket purchasing facility- We also have Facebook, Instagram and Twitter presence. We are currently actively looking for a Project Manager for these and other media platforms.

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cosi convention. Income All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activtties once the charity has entitlement to the funds. it is probable that the income will be receÉved and the amount can be measured reliably. Expenditure Liabilities are recognised as expendtture as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the charity to that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classtfied under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to attwities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. Taxation The charity is exempt from tax on rts charitable activities. Fund accounting Unre5tritted funds can be used in accordance with the charrtable objectives at the discretion of the trustees. Restricted funds can only be used for particular restrirted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are rdi5ed for particular restricted purposes. Further explanation of the nature and purpose of each fund is included in the notes to the financial Statements. 2. TRUSTEES REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS There were no trustees remuneration or other benefits for the period ended 31 December 2023.
