In 2025, very sadly one of our lon8-Standin8Tru5tees. Mrs Margaret Barr thed 03.11.2025 In lune 2025, Mr Matthew Thompson and Mrs Heather Brown were welcomed as new Trustees. Both Mrs Brown and Mr Thompson have brought with thèm a wealth of knowledge and skills combined with offers of SUp￿)rt for planned events i.e, Car Boot Salgs. Pie Night and NYE. Meetings are normally held fouf times a year at the Villa8e Hall tO8ether with the Annual General meeting which is held in May/June. some meetings are held via Zoom. Trusteès are U￿ated throughout the year on spectfic new5 and events and are invited to partiopate and contribute to events run by the Village Hall. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE IN THE YEAR Throughout 2025, LLANAM VILLAGE HALL continued to provide a popular venue ft>r grDup5 and community artivitiès. The Trustees met throughout the year wa Zoom and through face-to-face meetings to dixuss the management of the Hall. Meetin8 minute5 were ￿Orded and an action list drawn up. In 2D25. the Hall wa5 the venue for 3 very successful Car Boot Sales. a weekly Cafe and numerous entertainment events, enjoyed by the village community- The hall continue5 tD be a venue for regular groups such as Women's Institute, Yoga. Bible Reading and Fitness Trainhng Sessions as well as private renters celebratin8 birthdays. funera￿. weddings. christenings.

In 2025, the Manégement Team put together a series of fundraising events. These included 2 Quiz Nights, 1 8YO Night. I Pie Night, è Carol Singing Evening and New Year's Eve Ni8ht. This was addrtiDn to 11530.32 from the 3 Car Boot sales. which the trustees, or8ani5e with the rwo other fundraising groups in the wllage i.e. The Church and the Llana5a Conservation Society- PLANS FOR FimJRE PEfllODS Project Green Future In November 2021, the Trustee5 commi&%it)ned a Major Butlding Survey Report by David Rockall. Building Surveyors. The comprehensive report listed areas of the Hall that needed attentiort. The Trustees also engaged kntegieen. Ilmparb81 Energy Efficiency Experts), to carry out an Energy EfFic¢enry A55essment of the Hall in 2023. The list of i55uès found by both companie5 wès extensive. Throughout 2023. 2024. and now 2025 the Tru5tee5 have addressed and completed many of thè areas listed on the let￿rts. However, due to fundin8 restrairsts, there were several areas that had not been addressed... The otrtdated. inefficient (il-fired boiler. subjectto breakdowns. In addres5in8 these issues, the Trustees remain mindful that the building is Grade11 listed, necessitatin8 Stfict adherence to all planning and conservaiion 8uidelines. Nevertheless, the Trustees embrace the chaI￿nge of inte8ratin8 m¢xlern technDIo8y to address these concern5 while fvlly protectin8 the hall's fabric and character. In 2025, we successfully secured a grant from the Gwyni Y Mor Offshore Windfarm Community Fund, for 3 tot31 of £19496.17. £12566.17 was used to tackle the first Iteffl an Our proBramme of works-. rep13cing the outdated. faulty boiler. During the works, it became apparent that the manifold a150 needed replacin& a fault not identified in the initial project scope. Fortunately, we secured addr(ional funding frorn the National Lottery Fund to cover the cost of the manifold replacement. ena￿ing the commis>ionin@ of the new trK)iler. rhe boiler is controlled via Hive, an application that utilise5 sfflart connected technology. This allows our Bookin85 Officer to remotely manage the boiler's functionin& ensuring our renters a￿ wam) and Comfortab￿ whilst they spend time at the hall and the system is running efficiently. The second iteTn on our programme of works. was the Tnslallation of secondary glazing to the main hall and small conference room windows. The funding of £6930, wa5 the remainder of the grant from Gwynt Y Mor. Due tu delays by Flintshire County Planning Office. thi5 part of the project was delayed but will be addressed early in 2026. In 2025, in collaboration with the Llanasa Con5erv3tion Society. the tharity secured a new and secure storage facility in the rear yard. Thi5 f4cility will store Village Hall equipment. such as the marquee and outdoor tables and chairs. This facility was part grant funded. New Volunteers and Trustees The Trustees firmly beliève in the imwrtance of enga8in8 new indi￿dUalS to support the Village Hall. Wè artive1y encourage residents to get Involved. bringing Iresh ideas and strengths to our communiry. The Tru5tee5 agree that such supporters don't need to cofrrrnit to being a Trustee b4Jt can volunteer as and when ihey are free. especially when there ts an event.

We are delighted to welcome Mr. Matthew Thompson and Mrs. Heather Brown as new Trustee5. Mr. Thomp50rF has Iready demonstrated hi5 expertise by presentin8 a k)und Bath session attended by other Trustees. Additionalw, he excelled as our NYE DJ, saving the charity the cost of hiring a pr(rfe5sional. Mrs. Brown has played a Crucial role in organising and partiiipating in several of our fundraising events. including the highly successful NYE. Ideas for 2026 The Trustees believe that to remain competitive with othervenues in the area. the village hall must be as comfortable and welcoming ès possible. It 15 recogni5ed by the Trustees, that we need to attratt more renters, whether that be regulai renter5 Dr ￿n￿off private renters and to ensure we facilitate events that will bring in an income. Throughout 2025. the charity spent rnuch time procuring the first two stages of the Projett Green Initiative. In late 2025 the new state of the art heating boiler was inxalled but delays in securing planning from our local county plannin8 ofFicè, slowed down the proce55 and the secondary glazing installation could not be planned until February 2026. Once completed sati5fa(torily. the charity will then be able to pursue the ideas that were identffied in 2025. Affordable Wedding Venue- Idea to market the Village Hall as a DIY blank canvass venue. In January 2025, £2893.74 was spent in replacing our worn heavy weight tsbles. with 14 new lightweight tables and 2 trolleys which proved a very welcome improvement. enabling our renters to move the table5 around the hall. safely and easily. We are very grateful to Cadwi Clvryd for their support in fvn(ling this projert. In April 2025. the charity purchased new catering equipment which induded tea pot5, htst water boiler 3nd 5tainles5- steel trolley. Positive feedback was given by our regu5ar ￿nters. who very much appreciated the improvements. These purchases were made possible by the support and gener05rty of the Communities Facilit￿5 Fund_ As previously mentioned. the charity was granied £19.496.17 frorn Gwynt Y Mor. Of thi5. £12.566.17 wa5 allocated io the n￿W heating boiler. However, due tts delays In obtaining planning approval. the remaining £6,930.(Kl has yet to bè spent. A remedy was suggested by EO and SSE agreed to invoice the charity 3S SDor¢ as their system was up and runnin8. As a 8esture of glKxlwill, a credit note 01 £2(KJ was offered.
