Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 We launched our service on 1st April
2022, and in the reporting period we had
3 clients self-refer to us via the telephone
hotline.

2 clients were facing a crisis
pregnancy and had been told of
our service by their GP.

1 client was struggling after an
abortion and was signposted to us
by another charity,
Conversations on the phone line led to 2
of these clients having in person
counselling sessions with our trained
Advisors.
Our clients are given the time and space
to process their situation, and are offered
non-directive and non-judgmental
support in their moment of crisis.
Several GPs have started regularly
informing pregnant women of our
service, as we are able to offer help in the
key period of early pregnancy.
We signpost clients to other services
including: community groups, NHS
services, and specialist charities.
We have also sought to talk about the
issue of unexpected pregnancy and
abortion in church communities, to
educate and enable women who are
struggling to access the help and support
they need.
