Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
1.To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of the wards of Holgate and Acomb in York in particular and the residents of York generally by associating together the said inhabitants and the statutory authorities in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities for social welfare for recreational leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
