Vision: To promote the principles and common understandings of the 'Sanatan Hindu Dharma' among the members and society.
Establish a permanent Hindu temple and place of Hindu cultural activities in Sutton
Promote well-being through Yoga and meditation sessions and healthy eating
Organise celebrations to involve younger next generation to get Hindu cultural values
Promote togetherness and Provide platform to all Hindus to come together and organise religious celebrations

Manav Verma
a Finance Director, originally from New Delhi , residing in Cheam for 7 years
Manav Verma is a Chartered Accountant by profession with experience in the areas of corporate governance and finance strategies.
Contribution to SHCS
Manav joined the SHCS membership in May 2020 and has been contributing to SHCS’s purposes and objectives since joining. Manav’s notably contribution includes

Enabling SHCS to operate as an institution and strengthen its operating model.

Promoting SHCS’s values and objective to establish temple.

Proactive to drive initiatives to organise SHCS calendar of activities.

Regular attendee to the weekly temple
Manav’s professional background combined with passion towards SHCS’s purpose and vision, will play a fundamental role in driving SHCS towards its objective to establish temple in Sutton or surrounding area.

For the financial year ended on 31-Mar-2024, SHCS transferred £5,500 to SHCS holdings Limited. SHCS Holdings Limited subsequently closed in 2024 and money was transferred back to SHCS charity Account.

Independent examiner’s report to the trustees of Sanatan Hindu Cultural Society (Charity N o. 1197115)
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Sanatan Hindu Cultural Society (the Trust) for the year ended 31 March 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner’s statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or
-
- the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
