Para 1.20 The Cariad Blanket Project ran 7 in person
workshops during this period. All 7 of these
were in South Wales. 3 were macrame
workshops, 1 for a university for their staff
as part of their wellbeing week, 1 was for a
community craft group, and 1 was as part
of a community fun day run by a
community café in Cathays. The other 4
were run as seasonal craft workshops and
taught a variety of crafts and creative
mediums to attendees to then be able to
use for positive wellbeing in their daily
lives. They were open to anyone to attend
and provided all the materials free of
charge.
The project also sent out 85 Cariad
Blanket Boxes (care packages) in this
period across the UK, providing
signposting to support for mothers,
blankets and hats for babies and notes of
encouragement for wellbeingof mothers.
