| Ministries | ||||||
| We arranged and contributed financially |
to | |||||
| a number of spiritual, training and social |
||||||
| activities and events for three main groups | ||||||
| 1. Women | ||||||
| Our aim is to provide at least four main | ||||||
| events per year, organised by our ladies |
||||||
| ministry team. | ||||||
| One event for ladies who attend Our House | ||||||
| Church. Providing opportunities to connect, |
||||||
| build relationships, support one another |
||||||
| and promote spiritual growth. |
||||||
| Another for Christian outreach. Giving us |
||||||
| the opportunity to invite friends and |
||||||
| neighbours. Often, these events will include |
||||||
| guest speakers who may share personal | ||||||
| testimonies or life events to further the |
||||||
| Kingdom ofGod. | ||||||
| The remaining two events are aimed |
||||||
| primarily at serving our community. These |
||||||
| provide an opportunity to raise funds, and |
||||||
| awareness, oflocal charities and their |
||||||
| needs. | ||||||
| ~ In January we held a ladies night away, |
||||||
| at Oakwood Climbing Centre in |
||||||
| Wokingham Our auest speaker rwes life |
||||||
| coach, Sarah Ensor who spoke on | ||||||
| "Finding Our Identity in Christ". The |
||||||
| weekend was a great opportunity to |
||||||
| connect, support and build stronger |

| our faith. This was partially subsidised |
our faith. This was partially subsidised |
|
|---|---|---|
| by Our House Church to make it |
||
| affordable for everyone who wanted |
to | |
| come. Around 20 women attended. | ||
| ~ | In June, we held a charity "Pop-up | |
| Fashion Sale" at Yateley Industries. | The | |
| purpose was to raise money, awareness | ||
| and support for the Community Food |
||
| Pantry which operates from there. From | ||
| there we were also able to provide | ||
| some clothing donations to local |
||
| refugees from the Ukraine. | ||
| ~ | September saw a ladies breakfast | |
| event, held at Bistro 19in Yateley. Our | ||
| guest speaker was Kirsty Allerton who |
||
| gave an uplifting testimony on her walk |
||
| with God. 35women attended with over |
||
| 50%being from outside the church. | ||
| ~ | In November, we held a Christmas craft |
|
| and charity event at Yateley Manor | ||
| School. Christmas tree decorations |
||
| were made whilst raising funds to buy | ||
| warm hats, gloves and hot water bottles | ||
| to be freely given out at the Yateley | ||
| Community Pantry. We also had the |
||
| CEO ofthis charity share what it does |
||
| and the importance ofthe Community |
||
| Pantry in the present economic climate. |
||
| Around 40 women attended, again with |
||
| around 50% being non church | ||
| members. | ||
| 2. Men |
||
| We meet for breakfast on the first Saturday | ||
| of | every month and run various social |
|
| events such as snooker, ten-pin bowling to |
||
| build relationships, support one another |
||
| and to discuss spiritual and topical subjects |
||
| relevant to men. Our main event ofthe |
||
| year was our annual Weekend Away at |
||
| Sandyholme (YMCA), Studland, attended |
||
| by | 18 men split equally between church |
|
| and non-church goers. Two outside |
||
| speakers inspired the men on a theme of |
||
| "Keeping Going When The Going Gets | ||
| Tough" relating their experiences sailing |
||
| the | Trans-Atlantic, walking the Camino de |
|
| Santiago, running the Marathon des Sables |
||
| and | running up Mont Blanc. Following its |
|
| success our 2023 event is over-subscribed. | ||
| The Mens' Ministry focused on building | ||
| relationships and making a difference will |
||
| be even more important in these uncertain |
||
| times and unexpected challenges. |
||
| 3. Youth | ||
| We | have two children's groups that are |
|
| held | each Sunday morning, in classrooms |
| where Our House Church meets. The |
|---|
| sessions are an hour long. The younger |
| group (age 3-7)is called 'The Den' and the |
| other group (age 8-12)is called 'The |
| Cabin'. The aim each week is to teach the |
| children about Jesus through fun activities, |
| stories and crafts. Also teaching the values |
| of love, support and patience with one |
| another. |
| Other |
| We host social events (eg. Open Mic |
| Nights) for the community to build |
| relationships and provide an affordable |
| time out together. |
| We provided support to social welfare |
| initiatives at Christmas |
| ~ Crisis at Christmas (financial support to |
| the homeless in London). |
| ~ Christmas food boxes (we purchased, |
| packed and delivered 25food hampers |
| to share the love ofJesus with |
| struggling families in Yateley. |
| Our Pastor, Dave Wheeldon, meets |
| regularly with the leaders ofother local |
| churches in Yateley to share ideas and find |
| ways to work effectively together for the |
| good ofour community. |
| Whilst still a relatively small church (circa |
| 50 members) Our House Yateley has and |
| will continue to make a significant impact |
| on the lives ofpeople in our community |
| irrespective as to whether they go to |
| church. We are recognised as a place |
| where people feel welcome, loved and |
| cared for and our reputation in our |
| community as a church that makes a |
| difference continues to expand. Our aim is |
| to o even further in 2023. |
