Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 During this period Derbyshire 4x4
Response has been actively involved
during the many adverse weather events
that have occurred in Derbyshire. Snow /
storms/ flooding have all caused travel
disruption. However, by our volunteers
using their own 4x4 vehicles we have
enabled NHS, Emergency services,
Domiciliary care, and residential care
staff to perform their vital roles. Be that
transporting staff to their place of work or
on rounds.
A notable event was during the flooding
in Feb 2022 our volunteers transported
police staff, care staff and assisted with
various evacuations across the county. In
addition to assisting vehicles out of flood
water.

Achievements against
objectives set

Para 1.41

Derbyshire 4x4 response is a relatively
new charity; but we have hit the ground
running. We set our selves the objective
of helping the community in adverse
weather and we have smashed this. We
have agreements with the Emergency
services, with the NHS and many
Derbyshire care providers. Many that
have called upon us to help and have
been appreciative of the professional
volunteer's assistance.
An objective is also to have every active
member trained to be safe when
volunteering in adverse weather. Which
we have achieved through in house and
external training.
Performance of fundraising
activities against objectives
set
Para 1.41 Fund raising has gone really well. We
have been able to cover volunteers'
expenses and operating costs. With
surplus being used for buying in external
training.
