Snow /**<br>**storms/ flooding have all caused travel**<br>**disruption. However, by our volunteers**<br>**using their own 4x4 vehicles we have**<br>**enabled NHS, Emergency services,**<br>**Domiciliary care, and residential care**<br>**staff to perform their vital roles. Be that**<br>**transporting staff to their place of work or**<br>**on rounds.**<br>**A notable event was during the flooding**<br>**in Feb 2022 our volunteers transported**<br>**police staff, care staff and assisted with**<br>**various evacuations across the county. In**<br>**addition to assisting vehicles out of flood**<br>**water.**|

We set our selves the objective**<br>**of helping the community in adverse**<br>**weather and we have smashed this. We**<br>**have agreements with the Emergency**<br>**services, with the NHS and many**<br>**Derbyshire care providers. Many that**<br>**have called upon us to help and have**<br>**been appreciative of the professional**<br>**volunteer's assistance.**<br>**An objective is also to have every active**<br>**member trained to be safe when**<br>**volunteering in adverse weather. Which**<br>**we have achieved through in house and**<br>**external training.**|
