The main activities have been as follows 1. Raising funds so that grants can be paid to young people aged 15- 35 in Wales (financial assistance). Worrying about finances significantly affects the mental health of young people experiencing Cancer and the purpose of the grants is to help alleviate this. 2. Interviewing young people who have had a Cancer diagnosis between the ages of 15-35 in Wales and who are now doing well. These interviews are termed the Yellow Deckchair Interviews (purpose is to promote physical and mental health and highlight symptoms within this age group) 3. Collating access to other Cancer charities that can support young people in Wales (signposting, support and practical advice) |

Para 1.20 | During 2023 the charities main achievements are as follows – 1. Grants totalling £45,750 paid directly to young people in Wales who are going through Cancer treatment and struggling financially. 183 young people supported. Main issues highlighted are the cost of travel to hospital appointments, paying household bills when on sick pay or self employed and unable to work, buying real hair wigs and paying for childcare. 2. Yellow Deckchair Interviews highlight the issues faced by young people who are diagnosed with Cancer at this age and are accessible for all to watch via the website. |
3. Information collated from other relevant charities who are able to support young people with Cancer in different, complimentary ways. Also available and easily accessible on the website. 4. Raising the profile of the charity through speaking at dinners and charity events and therefore highlighting the issues faced by young people aged 15-35 in Wales who are going through Cancer treatment.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/12/2023.

Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of basis of report the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
