£2,900 from Paul's Coast to Coast- Paul de Kretser and 2 fnends walked from the west to the east coast of Northem England, a total of 191 miles long and was able to generate interest and support to Prithi UK. Speaal thanks to Paul and ffiends for your support and all those who donated. £1.413 from the Active April 2022 rampaign - Once again Laura and Tom Egerton coordinated Adive April. encouraging members and their fn'ends to do something actNe in April and raise funds in the pro￿$$. Grateful thanks to Laura, Tom, all those who took part in active April and those who donated. A gfft aid daim from 22123 of £876 from Gwey donations will be made in October 2023 and reflected in the 23124 accounts. We have a steady income of about £500 per month from 13 regular donors who each donate between £5 and £160 per month into the Prithi UK HSBC account. Im ct of fundin on￿ again, we've had great reports on the impact of our re￿nt funding. Supportlng livelihoods The funding Y￿ gave for salaries in 2022 supported 11 members of the team induding care staff, kitchen staff. agncultural staff and the accourrtant. Together with other funding $our￿s. our funding allowed Prithipura Communities to increase salanes to market rates. The grant funded nearly 25% of the total salary expenditure. It is predided that the funding for salaries provided in 2023 ￿fj11 fund nearly 20% of the salary budget. We a￿ proud that we've been able to support Prithipura Communities in this way for a number of years. Historically rt has been a challenge for Prithipura communth.es to find adequate funding for this. Su*ainable furKling for salaries ￿ so important and has the following benefrts.. Acting in line with current sKtor best practicè More and more, the thartty sector in the UK is advocating for more exible funding from grant makers and for charittes to have more opportunrties to use grants for running costs and core costs. Core costs are the basic costs that enable an organisab.on to do what rt does. Funders are responding to this positively. They recognise that power needs to be more balan￿d be￿n funders and the or9ani8alions they fund and chartts'es are best pla￿d to say vthere money is most needed.
