The charity is governed by CIO Constitution, and was incorporated with the Charity Commission on the (20[th] March 2021)
1) WHO ARE WE:
We are a charitable company organisation that welcomes everybody regardless their Race, Religion, Ethnic group, Disability and Sex. We have put a focus on supporting aspiring and professional footballers. The charity has set out to tackle prevalent issues deemed to be major concerns for footballers. Such as: lack of emotional support for football players when they are released, psychological effects of long-term injuries, financial literacy skills and mental health issues e.g. depression, suicidal ideation and burnout. In addition, post-release matters such as, finding employment, self-image issues and finding a new purpose, will be addressed by the charity. We will also address physical health limitations which may impact on a person's career.

2) AIMS:
Our aim is to develop a team of mentors, who have a passion for working with young people and can offer different expertise.
We will offer a range of mentoring services, including Family and relationship advice, career and CV support. We will offer bi-weekly/monthly mentoring sessions . We will also host annual youth socials which gives opportunities to young people to network with another and career driven individuals. We will also host our annual family fun day which is an opportunity for the community to come together.
3) BENEFICIARIES:
The Christian Mbulu Trust aims to help young people aged from 11-18 years old.
Aspiring/professional footballers.
4) OBJECTS:
5) REVIEW OF THE YEAR: 2024-2025
A) CHAIR’S REPORT:
(What activities did the charity run in this year)
5
B) FINANCES:
( how much money did the charity receive?) £3,319
C) ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
Given the actual state of the financial situation of our charity, we were not able to provide as many projects as we anticipated to, however we used the rest of the year building a strong team, so they are ready and have all the tools needed to support the young people moving forward.
D) Planning for a better future: We will plan to network with other charities who are also supporting young aspiring/professional footballers, to build partnerships to enable or charity to grow. We also plan to network with football teams in and around London. We will also be reaching out to local authorities and local schools starting around Barking and Dagenham to inform them on our services.
6) ACHIEVEMENT OF THE YEAR: 2024-2025
During the year of 2024-2025 our achievement of the year has been the money we raised £3,094 From the annual Chris Mbulu Cup match. We also raised £225 from our sponsored walk challenge.
The following works and Activities have been carried out:
In May, the charity organised a community football tournament at Leisure United, bringing together eight teams to compete in a
6
friendly and inclusive environment. The event was well attended, with over 200 people present, including players, supporters, and members of the local community. The tournament provided an opportunity to encourage teamwork, promote physical activity, and strengthen community connections.
Between July and August, the charity also hosted a 30-day sponsored walking challenge, encouraging participants to complete 15,000 steps per day. The initiative aimed to promote healthy lifestyles while encouraging individuals to support the charity’s work through fundraising and participation. At the conclusion of the challenge, three participants were recognised as winners for their dedication and commitment throughout the 30-day period.
These activities helped raise awareness of the charity’s mission, increased community engagement, and promoted positive health and wellbeing outcomes among participants.
• ACCOUNTS: Example below:
INCOMES : This year, we did receive funding from our events and online donations.
Expenses: We mainly spent money on the administration and running cost of the organisation as we did not run much charitable activities due the lack of funding.
Audited Accounts : Given the actual state of our financial situation, we are not able to provide an account prepared by a professional accountant as requested by the charity law, so following on the lower income for this year, we have been able to prepare a breakdown of income and expenditure made by the treasurer of the organization.
