protect health for the public benefit by
providing funding for childhood cancer
research projects primarily in the UK in
order to improve outcomes for childhood
cancer suffers by finding safer and more
effective treatments at a fast rate.
Summary of the main

Para 1.17 and
1.19
The Childhood Cancer Research Trust has
primarily funded The Concorde Initiative to
explore the use of natural compounds in
paediatric cancer treatment.
This grant supports crucial research to
consolidate the full scope of the
possibilities for the use of Natural
Compounds in cancer care,
directly aligning with our mission and
offering significant potential benefits to
children with cancer globally.
Statement confirming
whether the trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
benefit
Para 1.18 In directing our efforts and resources, the
trustees of The Childhood Cancer
Research Trust have diligently considered
and adhered to the guidance issued by the
Charity Commission regarding public
benefit. This guidance underscores the
importance of ensuring that all charitable
activities directly contribute to the public
good, in line with our charitable objects.
This fiscal year, our commitment to
maximizing public benefit was exemplified
through a strategic grant to The Concorde
Initiative, which focuses on researching the
use of natural compounds in paediatric
cancer treatment. By funding this
pioneering research, we aim to forge new
pathways in cancer care that could
significantly improve treatment options for
children. Importantly, all funds raised have
been allocated directly to this research,
with no overheads, salaries, or
administration costs deducted, ensuring

that every pound is directly applied to advancing this vital work. The insights produced by The Concorde Initiative this year have shown promising potential to enhance cancer care for children, aligning with our mission and the Charity Commission's expectations for public benefit.
