Objectives and Activities

Summary of the purposes of Para 1.17 The objects of the CIO are, each for the
the charity as set out in its public benefit:
governing document
a) The relief and assistance of people in
need in Asia who are the victims of war
or natural disaster; by supplying
them with food and medical aid;
b) The relief and assistance of people in
need in the UK and Asia who are the
victims of poverty; by supplying
them with food and financial assistance
in order to facilitate the restoration of a
minimum acceptable quality of
life for them;
c) The advancement of further education
for individuals in deprived areas of the
UK through the provision of private
tutoring and mentoring funded by the
charity, thus equipping said individuals
with the tools necessary to create
more promising lives for themselves and
their families, as well as make a larger
contribution to wider society;
and
d) The advancement of the Islamic
religion by the provision of services and
assistance to small local mosques in
the UK who cater for a small number of
worshippers and therefore often run in to
situations whereby there are
no funds available for essential mosque
maintenance, by supplying them with the
financial assistance necessary
to maintain the upkeep of the mosques.

difficulty in finding volunteers with sufficient time in order to carry out activities, this year was more about consolidating the charity’s position and undertaking a more passive strategy in terms of donating to other charities and worthwhile causes, that still achieved the objects of the CIO. With respect to the charitable work that was undertaken pursuant to this, the most notable can be summarised as follows: February 2023: Donation to SKT Welfare with respect to the work they were doing in Syria and Turkey given the earthquakes there September 2023: Donation to One Nation with respect to their ongoing appeals |
