LCWRA. Managed Migratlon, and disabllity-r8latod benefits.

Durlng the year, we successfully secufed E279.695.80 in @nnualised benefit incom8 for clients across 8 range of welfare entitlements, including Personal Independence Payrnent IPIPI, Universal Credit, LCWRA, Pension Credit, and disability-Telat8d benefits. A significant proportlon of thls work involved repres¢nting clients through the most challenging stages of the b8n8fits system, particularly at appe81 and tribunal level. In total, £39,125.55 in PIP back pay was awarded to clients, alongside ongoing annual awards th8t provide long-term financi81 stability. Be Well Hub- South London Li¥teng During the reporting year Debt Centre Greenwich became aff iliated as 8 Be Well Hub under the South London Listens prograrnme. This affillation recognises the centre's role as a trusted community setting contributing to oarly interventlon 8nd "prevention wlthin the boiough's mentsl health ancl wellbeing system. Through advice, advocacy 8nd holistic support th8 cehtro addresses key soci81 determinants of health Including debt. financial insecurlty and housing instability. Working within the Be Well network strengthens collaboration with Public Health partners and improves referral P8thway8 for residents requiring support. Partner¥hip wilh Peabody Charlton A key development during the year was the stiengthening of the centre's partnership with Peabody Ch8rlton. Through this relationship Debt Centro Gre8nwich became based at the New Leaf Advlce Centre on the Pe8body Charlton Estat6. Locating servlces within the community ha8 improved accessibility for residents and strengthened collaboration with housing and community teams. This partnership 5UPPOrts earlier intervention for households experiencing financial hardship and enables the centre to deliver advice and wellbeing services within a trusted neighbourhood setting.

Greenwlch Communlty Advico Network IGCAN) Debt Centre Greenwich also pl8yed a leading role in est8blishing the Greenwich Community Advice Network IGCANI alongsi(Je Plumstead Community Lawcentre and Greenwich Housing Rights. The network bring8 togethef advice providers from across the borough to share knowledge, coordinate support and address systemic challenges affecting re8idents. A key element of this work has been the introduction of the Step referral platform, en8bling agencie8 to make seamless r6fèrrals and ensuring r8sident8 are connected qulckly to the right support seNice. Frazzled Groanwlch-communlty Mentalwellbelng Inltlatlve Durlng 2025 the Centre began developing Frazzled Greenwich, 8 community mental wellbelng init18tive delivered in p8rtnership with Peabody Charlton 8nd AfiriLife MIND. The project is linked to the national Frazzled Café ne￿Ork and aims to provide peer-led support for residents experiencing stress. anxiety and loneliness. Frazzled Greenwich will provide 8 safe And non-judgement81 environment where residents can share experiences and develop coping strategies through structured conversations. In-person sessions are planned to launch in early 2026. Review of Acllvltles and Impact The trust¢0s consider the outcomes achieved durlng the year to demonstrate effectwe use of chgrit8ble resources. Debt Centre Greenwich continues to provide specialist support for individu81s who would otherwise Struggle to navigate complex welfare and financial systems independently. By stabilising debt, maximising income through welf8re rights advocacy and strengthening community partneTships, the centre has helped residents Bvoid crisis gnd build greater lin8ncial resillence. Plans for tha Future Looking aheaLI. Detst Centre Greenwich will continua to strengthen it8 preventatDie debt advice model, with a clear focus on sustainability, early intervention, anrj integrated support. A key priority is capacity building within the org8nisation. strengthen referral pathways. and further integrate debt advice with welfare rlghts and wellbeing support. This approach rem8ins consistent with Debt Centre Greenwich's long.standlng mission to alleviate poverty, promote jU8tice, and support indivlduals and families to move forw81d with hope and stability. During September 2025, the Centrg Monager 8nd Money Mentor successfully completed CMA Parts 1, 2 and 3 Generalist Debt Advice Training. Once fully accredited, they will be able to deliver the centre's debt advice setvices entirely in-house, ieducing reliance on external advisers and increasing the ch8rity'S ability to respond flexibly to local demand. We are thankful for tho partnership with the Greenwich Foodbank that provides funding to March 2025 through 8 SeNice Level Agreement and to our partner churches who have provided funding and other resources. We were successful in 88tting funding from Awards tor All1£15.8kl for a volunte8T programme: and £23.7k trom Greenwich Healthief Communities Fund to build financial resilience to improve mental he8lth and well-being. Funding from the Foyle Foundation 1£5kl enabled us to deliver Life Skills and 2 Money Coaching courses in 2024. Raserve8 Pollcy AS a mission charity we feel strongly that the priority for the funds received should be to use them to achieve our charitablé purpose8, this mean5 that we keep our reserv8s low. Our current requirement for 3 months running costs is £14. 000. A future objective of the trustees going lorward will be to review the requirements for a suitable reseNes position for the charity. Fundralslng Pollcy DCG 8re in the process of developing an active programme of funding. We are hoping to improve the sustainability of the charity through funding bids, publiclw fundraisers and raising 8waren8S8 to attract more individual donors. During 2025 we were successful In securing nearly £40k of new income through grant8 and donations.
