As a churth we have been blessed with God's continued grdce tovrdrds a steady stream of new people continuing to attend the Sunday service. From within thefn we have been blessed with a number of new mernbers who are keen tts become more involved In the work of the church. We have also had a number of long standing mernt. who for varwng reasons, have felt that the time had come for them to move on to partures new. We are saddened by their departure, and grateful for their long and steadfast service here. We pray that God will continue to bless them as seek to sete elsewhere. We were also saddened by the home call of Jeff 8raithwaite at the Wnning of December aftera long batde with illne5S, taknng solace in the fatt that he is now at peace with the Lord. Our youth WOTk with JAM. and the mother and toddler group continue to ttract good attendan, and we would love to be able to return the JAM meetinEs to belng weekly. a new ministry. Together@BBC aimed at the more senior Memr5 of ¢)ur tommunity Started after the summer recess and 15 establishing Itself. Ben is now into the second year of hts tenure he and he and Danielle are a blessing to the thurth with their boundless enthusrasm forand love of the Lord. tt was with gladness in our heartsthat our prayers for an appropriate school placement for Tim. their eldest child. have L an5wLYed and he has starred xhool in September. We have also been blessed with the opportunity to offer one of our members, Matt Laver5. 3 part time iAtemship to gain practical experience of ministry and help him decide if ts hts tallin8. Fundingforthbs has been seujred until summer2025. The economic hardships that beset the country during 2023. WhIt easing to a de8. have continued into this year and look set to 5tsy for a while longer. Thls has imparted the ability of tt congregation to give to the thurch. For a number of years now we have run wtth a planned deficit as we were bte5sed with a heathy surplus of frjnds which the membership Wlshed to see used to further the work of the gospel. As we head towdrds 2025, we have prepared 3 budget that Is frugal, iming for a relativefy small Increa in the amount of Kryin8 fNed. with the intention of heading the thurch back towards being self4ufficient. believing in a God who will gnfe hi5 Fop4e what they need. DurinB 2025 the trustees will continue to monitor the firan. seeking to Supplement them rf additional ways of doing so can be found. They also acknowledge thatthe budget for 2026 may invotve making some hard decision5. The world situation has also not improved. with the conflicts that yre ongoing at the end of 2023 escalating through the course of 2024. We continue to pray for Pea in the Middle E3St and Ukrnine in particular. but also for the other parts of the wodd where confiict is rnwnE.
