identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 Haven Youth Ranch was unable to run
sessions during the reporting period due to
an interim period in which it had no premises
on which to operate.
During this period the trustees;
-
Continued the search for premises and
in September 2022, secured a 1 acre
field in Kibworth Beauchamp, and began
renting it in December 2022.
-
Continued policy writing.
-
Secured two ponies to loan, Suski and
Bruno, for use in sessions. The ponies
arrived 31st December 2022.
-
We raised £1,000 in funds through a
Justgiving Campaign to purchase a
second hand mobile double stable
block. The stables arrived 20th
December 2022.
-
Continued to identify and connect with
local youth ministries/programmes and
Kibworth Primary School for potential
referrals including Safe Families, and
Home for Good.
-
Lucy Bloomfield continued training
towards British Horse Society
qualifications and achieved her BHS
Stage 2 Ride in August 2022
-
Sourced Christian literature resources.
-
14th March 2023 - Lucy Bloomfield
spoke at a local church group ‘Make
Room’.
-
7th March 2023 - Lucy gave an
interview with Matt Macdiarmid, leader
of local church, Hope Community
Church Wigston, via zoom.. This was
shared on social media. This has
resulted in a child from a local children’s
home enrolling on our Spring Term 1
2024 programme.
-
The ponies were settled in and prepared
for sessions (which commenced during

the 2023/2024 reporting period) through trial sessions with friends and family.
