The Charity went through the process of
registering the charity, selecting Trustees and a
Core Group who could work together to plan
re-settlement of a refugee family in our area via
Community Sponsorship.
However, for the time being the intended
activities became subsumed by changes in the
international sphere, in particular the armed
conflict in Ukraine, leading to the focus of work
shifting to the undertakings of the Epsom
Refugee Network operating under the charity
The Good Company (Epsom), so the trustees
agreed to transfer the bulk of its funds to that
charity as the most effective way to pursue the
objects of their charity and for the benefit of
beneficiaries.
