The charity seeks to raise funds in order to relieve the financial burden of our sport on our beneficiaries. This has included purchasing sport specific wheelchairs to allow new and existing players to play the sport, aswell as covering the main competition costs – entry fee’s, NGB membership, accomodation whilst at a competition. |

Achievements and Performance

The main achievements for the charity this year have been: - All club members wheelchair rugby national governing body memberships paid for by the charity - Four new wheelchairs funded by the club and used by existing players. - Entry into GBWR competitions covered by the charity - Accomodation costs covered for beneficiaries at GBWR competitions - Hosted a ‘home’ invitational tournament The above points have all contributed to the charities objectives and have allowed beneficiaries to take part in the sport of wheelchair rugby with decreased financial difficulty. Throughout the year the charity has accommodated two training session per week. Membership has grown over the year and the club has seen three new players join. The charity has taken part in two competitions operated by the national governing body of wheelchair rugby, allowing all beneficiaries the opportunity to compete in the sport that they practice. Fund raising efforts have proven exceptional this year with assistance from a donated professional fundraiser who helped to raise approximately £10,000 of the overall effort. The fundraiser was gifted as part of a separate funding award and helped the club to apply to further grantors. The beneficiaries of the club have maintained a healthy lifestyle due to their continued involvement with the sport and the charities work throughout the year. The club hosted an invitation tournament at their training venue which was well attended by five teams from across Great Britain. The tournament was a great success and aloud some of the newer players within the club the opportunity to play their first competitive wheelchair rugby games. |

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 / 03 / 2023 .
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
