## **Achievements and Performance** 

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|The main achievements for the charity this year have<br>been:<br>-<br>All club members wheelchair rugby national<br>governing body memberships paid for by the<br>charity<br>-<br>Four new wheelchairs funded by the club and used<br>by existing players.<br>-<br>Entry into GBWR competitions covered by the<br>charity<br>-<br>Accomodation costs covered for beneficiaries at<br>GBWR competitions<br>-<br>Hosted a ‘home’ invitational tournament<br>The above points have all contributed to the charities<br>objectives and have allowed beneficiaries to take part in<br>the sport of wheelchair rugby with decreased financial<br>difficulty.<br>Throughout the year the charity has accommodated two<br>training session per week.<br>Membership has grown over the year and the club has<br>seen three new players join.<br>The charity has taken part in two competitions operated by<br>the national governing body of wheelchair rugby, allowing<br>all beneficiaries the opportunity to compete in the sport that<br>they practice.<br>Fund raising efforts have proven exceptional this year with<br>assistance from a donated professional fundraiser who<br>helped to raise approximately £10,000 of the overall effort.<br>The fundraiser was gifted as part of a separate funding<br>award and helped the club to apply to further grantors.<br>The beneficiaries of the club have maintained a healthy<br>lifestyle due to their continued involvement with the sport<br>and the charities work throughout the year.<br>The club hosted an invitation tournament at their training<br>venue which was well attended by five teams from across<br>Great Britain. The tournament was a great success and<br>aloud some of the newer players within the club the<br>opportunity to play their first competitive wheelchair rugby<br>games.|

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31 / 03 / 2023** . 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or 

- the accounts do not accord with the accounting records 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
