Report of the Trustees

The organisation previously unregistered became registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) 21[st] June 2021

The Trustees and members present their 3rd report along with the financial statements for the new organisation for the period ended 31 March 2024

AIMS

To support people with dementia and their carers

We offer a friendly, welcoming and judgement free space to socialise and have fun.

Alongside the monthly meetings, we also arrange events, activities and trips out. We offer a Wellbeing Programme to support our carers

FUNDING

The project is supported by with help from Nottinghamshire County Council, Broxtowe Lotto, Easy fundraising and several businesses, groups and people with the local community.

Eastwood Memory Café greatly appreciates the ongoing support received from the Eastwood Primary Care Centre

FUTURE PLANS

To continue with the development of the Local Friendship Group, supporting Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, in the delivery of a SPECAL approach in a relaxed and friendly environment

To continue to offer support to our Extended Family

Independent Examiner’s Report on the unaudited Financial Statements of The Eastwood Memory Cafe

I report on the independently examined financial statements of The Eastwood Memory Cafe for the period ended 31 March 2024 which comprise of the statements of financial activities, assets and liabilities and related notes.

This report is made solely to the committee as a body.

RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITES OF THE DIRECTORS AND THE INDEPENDENT EXAMINER

The members of the committee are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act2011 (“the Act”)

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

  1. accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or

  2. the accounts do not accord with the accounting records

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the statements to be reached.
