Report of the Trustees
The organisation previously unregistered became registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) 21[st] June 2021
The Trustees and members present their 1[st] report along with the financial statements of the new organisation for the period ended 31 March 2022
AIMS
To provide the opportunity for people affected by dementia, and their carers’, to live well.
We provide regular Memory Café meetings, planned activities, events and trips out, alongside virtual support.
By engaging with the wider community we aim to actively encourage awareness of and kindness towards people with dementia.
FUNDING
The project is supported by with help from Nottinghamshire County Council, Eastwood Town Council, Central England Co-operative, Broxtowe Lotto, and several local businesses, groups and people witin the local community.
Eastwood Memory Café greatly appreciates the ongoing support received from the Eastwood Primary Care Centre
FUTURE PLANS
To continue with the expansion of the range of our activities: and also to give greater support to our members.
Trustees are also considering a simple system for making donations to EMC

Independent Examiner’s Report on the unaudited Financial Statements of The Eastwood Memory Cafe
I report on the independently examined financial statements of The Eastwood Memory Cafe for the period ended 31 March 2022 which comprise of the statements of financial activities, assets and liabilities and related notes.
This report is made solely to the committee as a body.
RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITES OF THE DIRECTORS AND THE INDEPENDENT EXAMINER
The members of the committee are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act2011 (“the Act”)
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
-
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the statements to be reached.
