Objectives and Activities

Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document	Para 1.17	The objects of the charity are to relieve poverty by providing food and clothing or other useful items and providing monies to fund projects to provide school fees, books and materials or other items for the education and training of children, students and teachers at Christian Churches and Schools in Pakistan as the charity trustees may from time to time think fit and; to fulfil such other purposes which are exclusively charitable according to the law of England and Wales.
Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts.	Para 1.17 and 1.19	1. The Charity has been able to buy the school text books for 150 school students, from three different schools, as well as the writing books. 13 students were provided with school uniforms. 2. The Charity has continued to operate afternoon class for the classes 9thand 10th students. This is particularly beneficial for the school students who had passed the middle schools, but whose parents were unable to afford further education for their children. The very basic education requirement in Pakistan is graduation from class 10.

Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.	Para 1.20	The Charity and its operations are making real difference to the lives of poor communities. As a result of the Charity’s intervention, the number of illiterate street students has increased, and the dropout rate has dropped to zero. The new class in the afternoon has meant that the girls who would have most probably joined their mothers in the lowly paid domestic workers jobs, before getting married early, are now able to pass their basic school level exams and go on to further education or learn other basic skills and be able to contribute to the family income. This has given a new ray of hope to these girls and their parents.

The Charity also helped to save money for the school by buying a printer for a school. This meant that school did not need to pay the printers to print papers for the school.
