intervention, the number of illiterate street
students has increased, and the dropout
rate has dropped to zero.
The new class in the afternoon has meant
that the girls who would have most
probably joined their mothers in the lowly
paid domestic workers jobs, before getting
married early, are now able to pass their
basic school level exams and go on to
further education or learn other basic skills
and be able to contribute to the family
income. This has given a new ray of hope

1. Every charity trustee must be a natural
person.
2. No individual may be appointed as a
charity trustee of the CIO:
if he or she is under the age of 18 years;
or
if he or she would automatically cease to
hold office under the provisions of clause
