Achievements and Performance
| SORP reference | ||
|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | The Charity and its operations are making real difference to the lives of poor communities. As a result of the Charity’s intervention, the absentee students number have decreased. Furthermore, the number of students dropping out of the classes has been reduced. The start of the new classes in the evening has also meant that the girls who would have most probably joined their mothers in the lowly paid domestic workers jobs, before getting married early, would be able |
to pass their basic school level exams and go on to further education, or learn other basic skills and be able to contribute to the family income, which in turn mean that the parents wouldn’t regard them as economic burden and try to marry them at an early age.
