Flnancial revlew: Our income are received through donations from members and friends of the church. Bais of Preparatlon The accounts (financial statements) have been prepared under the hlstorical cost convention. Expendlture All expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or corFstrurtive obligation to that expenditure, it is probable settlement is required and the amount can be measured reliably. All costs are allocated to the applicable expenditure heading that aggregate similar costs to that category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to headings, they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. Donations and letacles Donations and legacies are reco8nised on a receivable basis when receipt is probable and the affjount can be reliabfy measured. Goin8 concern The trustees consider that there are no material uncertaint￿5 about the charrvs ability to continue as a goin8 concern. Income and endowments Voluntary income including donations, gifts, legacies and Érants that provide core funding or are of a general nature is recognised when the charity has entitlement to the income, it is probable that the income will be received and the amountc•n be measured with sufficient reliability. Taxatlon The charity is considered to pass the tests set out in Paragrapg I Schedule 6 of the Finance Act 2010 and therefore it meets the definition of a charitable company for UK corporation tax purposes. Accordingly. the charty is potentialty exempt from taxation in respect of income or capital gains receNed within categories covered by Chapter 3 part11 of the Corporation Tax Act 2010 or Sertion 256 of the Taxation of Chargeable Gain5 Act 1992, to the extent that such income or gains are applied exclusively to charitable purposes.
