Wellfield Church is governed by the Trustees, who meet bi-monthly. There is also an overlapping group, the ‘Leadership Team’, who meet monthly to organise the life of the church and its pastoral needs. According to the church’s constitution, new Trustees are appointed by a vote at the Annual General Meeting, for a limited term.
Through the year, the charity stuck to its objectives of advancing the Christian faith for the benefit of the public. New members were added; some baptised into following Christ. Particular emphases included Sunday meetings and youth work.
While the nature of the work of the church can feel slow and often discouraging at one level, several people have experienced significant changes to their lives over the year. Some individuals have found hope in life, in place of despair and emptiness. Others have become much more productive in their lives as a result of their new or growing faith. Still others have taken responsibilities of leadership for the first time in their lives.

Independent examiner's report to the Trustees of Wellfield Church. Leyland I report to the trustees on my examinatson of the accounts of Wellfield Church, Leyland forthe year ended 31 Dember 2022. Responsibilities and basis of report As the charty tNstees of the Twst you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordants with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Acl). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under s. 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission undèr s. 145(5)Ib) of the Act. Independent examiner's statement I have comp16ted my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my atlention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect.. (1) accounting records were not kept in respe¢t of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act. or (2) the accounts do not aexord with those records,. or (3) the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Chaiities (Accounts 8nd Reports) Regulations 2008 other Ihan any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair view which is not a matter ¢onsidered as part of an independent examinatron. I have no concems and have come across no other matters in Connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order lo enable a proper understanding of the acxounts to be reached.
