There is also an overlapping group, the ‘Leadership Team’, who meet monthly to organise the life of the church and its pastoral needs. According to the church’s constitution, new Trustees are appointed by a vote at the Annual General Meeting, for a limited term. Through the year, the charity stuck to its objectives of advancing the Christian faith for the benefit of the public. New members were added; some baptised into following Christ. Particular emphases included Sunday meetings and youth work. While the nature of the work of the church can feel slow and often discouraging at one level, several people have experienced significant changes to their lives over the year. Some individuals have found hope in life, in place of despair and emptiness. Others have become much more productive in their lives as a result of their new or growing faith. Still others have taken responsibilities of leadership for the first time in their lives.
